Thanks for visiting my site, I’m Brett Armstrong. I’ve heard it said, “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” That is how I try to live my life.
I believe in loving hard, playing often and dreaming big. When I’m not chasing around my two crazy daughters, I’m chasing my dreams, fighting my demons and driving to my goals. At times I succeed, at others I come up short, but I always learn. I don’t believe in failure, I only believe in lessons.
I don’t believe any of us will really know who we are until we cross the finish line of life. During mine I’ve been good, bad and ugly. I’ve witnessed disasters and I’ve received miracles. Life has molded me and I’ve transformed myself. I believe in acting, before being acted upon. I look for opportunities to challenge myself. I believe this life is a test. It can test me or I can test myself.
For that reason I’ve ran a marathon; I’ve bungee jumped, free fallen from the tallest building in Las Vegas, I’ve had a cloud curl up my pant leg as I jumped from a perfectly good plane and I’ve been paragliding. I’ve played with a dolphin, swam with a shark and pet a wild kangaroo. I’ve been scuba diving. I’ve been in a fight. I’ve traveled the U.S., opened offices in Australia and England. I’ve surfed in Hawaii and “tagged” my first wall in Melbourne. I’ve been to the Bahamas, Barbados, St. Marten, and Martinique. Most recently I learned to ride the greatest snow on earth, hit a few jumps and learned to grind a rail.
During my life, I’ve worn a lot of hats and I’ve been called names I can’t repeat, but I’ve also been called a son, brother, leader, husband, and friend, but my favorite is dad.
Through it all, life is what we make it. Each day we write a new chapter in an otherwise empty book called life. Choose your words well.
I’m fortunate to have three beautiful ladies in my life that are my ultimate inspiration and the reason for my writing. I enjoy writing stories with morals. I hope that the stories I’ve written for them, will motivate you and inspire the ones you love. If they do, I hope you’ll help me share them with the world.
Live happy,
Brett Armstrong
